I like to do a calculation on class size times the published expenditure per student.....Normally, the current teacher's salary is easily covered...add in reasonable costs for admin, buildings and up keep and there is usually a considerable sum left.....That money is going towards meeting union promises that at some point, sooner than later, will threaten the financial security of most districts......The math & money is just not there compounded over time. If there is a governmental unit around that is on a sound financial glide path, I don't know of it.....I can't find anyone on the left that admits to getting it.
