Local observation from Silicon Valley: the job market is rocking again, programmers are difficult to hire. The winds of creative destruction continue to gust. Which is weird as California lurches towards the cliff.

We have not lost our manufacturing base. Not yet anyway. We have lost many of the jobs though.
