I've tried to use unusual volume (I can scan daily, but not hourly volume) as a predictor with mixed success. Obviously your "net" which apparently monitors hourly volume is far more sophisticated. I've been trying to review any stock that has had a dramatic move to see if I can discern a pattern. Looking back at RMBS I see end of day total volume for the 19th was unremarkable. I think the earliest news of the "revised earnings" was available to me was around 1:30 EST - too late. I guess I'm trying to console myself by saying nothing in my arsenal was going to let me see that one coming. However, if you have suggestions that can help me spot these phenomena please post. TIA.
