Partially agree on curtailing spending eventually. Do think we need to prop up the recovery--though maybe not to the extent that we have and baslcally that is the argument between the parties (the degree of propping) inasmuch the bail out started with the Bushies and was continued on by the Obamites--maybe to a degree not envisioned initially.

I'm not versed enough in economic theory to get down and dirty about that (G) Just know that 'stimulating" is part of lot of economists (magic?) bag of tricks.
