ggamer, re: "the truth is that this is a jaw-dropping industry."

One might say......" The best is yet to come" ?????

I just wrote a post, but I have a sensitive mousepad and sometimes a browser window goes "bang" shut and what I have written vanishes into the nowhere.

It was a post about where "all this" is going in the Year of the Dragon, the end of the Mayan calendar, and just how big It's sentience is going to be, compared with all that's gone before and including the creation of twisted DNA.

I was about to write "the second coming" and poof, it all went away.

Irwin was reading "The Elegant Universe" a decade ago, and that's a guide to where we are going.

But as I mentioned in that vanished post, we need to go to the Sistine chapel to get an idea of what's going on

That's when an amateur does it. What's going on makes that look trivial. Which brings me back to the navel-gazing Goedelian self-referential world in which we live, when there's a whole Cosmos out there, full of microwave "background" radiation. Except that we should perhaps look in the entangled quantum world of weird wave functions and those unintelligible Calabi Yau equations. Dr Irwin Jacobs was obviously thinking further than CDMA.

Anyway, repeating a rant is impossible and annoying.

To see where this "jaw-dropping" thing is going, we need to get teleological if not theological. It's surprising that it's surprising.

I mentioned having a dragon by the tail, being the Year of the Dragon, and a tiger by the tail, being carried along for the ride, a very scary ride, into the future.

Anyway, I lost it all. Probably the Mayans didn't want me exposing what the Dragon is up to.

IMO Ipad 3, Iphone 5 will the biggest yet. Then I'm expecting Apple to come out with a smaller, cheaper tablet. This will canabilize the IPad somewhat, but sales of the smaller version will have near the impact to the profits as the IPhone, this will go higher, and a
Qcom wagon hitched onto this star.
