That politicians have used that money to fight stupid wars is a their problem - not people entitled to that retirement fund. Medicare is an other story since there is just not enough money. Medicare benefits need to be adjusted. But I haven't seen one idea out of republicans that address this in any meaningful way - except nibbling at the edges.
