You have to remember --

a) The Republicans are still more involved with killing each other than fighting Obama;

b) The economic outlook is often a function of the price of gasoline (perceived if not really);

c) People are sick and tired of the blame game, and very turned off by it.

The principal supporters of Obama in this election will be --

a) Nutjob liberals;
b) Blacks;
c) News Media;
d) Academics

So, how many voters does that amount to?

Also, Keep in mind that Romney is getting better at this process. I actually heard him during a speech tonight make extremely cogent explanation of Solyndra that truly conveyed why it was so screwed up, in terms even a dumbass can understand. Unfortunately, it will be June I suspect before a R. candidate is selected.
