Hank,

I agree - please stay on the thread and post every now and then. Make something up if you have to!

Why ECI stock is a bargain...

1. First Excel bank will open for biz 1/1/98. This will allow international expansion that much sooner. Also many benefits for reps.
2. Commercial rates effective 1/1/98. Serious competition for the other "three"
3. ECI is closing in on Sprint fast.
4. 250,000 more customers in 3rd qtr. How many in 4th?
5. What is WCOM going to do with all MCI's residential customers?

I'm hanging in for the long haul....
(But then what the heck do I know)

Good to hear from you, Hank. I have no idea how earnings will play out for the next quarter. All I know is that I'm out doing my small part. My customer base grew by 10.23% during the last 30 days. Hope you and Mike had a large time in Vegas. Since Thanksgiving is upon us, Happy Holidays.

Hi Hank, and thread,

I'm looking at investing in one or two start-up local and L.D phone companies that appears to be similar to Excel in many ways.

I'd like to hear some opinions on the battles facing a startup company competing in Excel's markets. It looks like Excel was a great investment for the original investors and market timers since IPO.

Do startups with similar strategies have a chance??

Spyder..
