The idea that free contraception won't make a difference in unwanted babies is just crazy!

Perhaps. Its also irrelevant.

Contraception can indeed make a difference. Forcing employers to include contraception on their insurance coverage, not so much.

Look if you are so naive as to think free contraception doesn't make a difference then we're done here.

1 - It isn't free.
2 - We are talking about people who could easily afford it (and will in effect be paying for it anyway, even if it is covered). So there isn't any ability to pay for it issue here.

Why is that a hard concept for you to accept?

Your discussion about contraceptives is predictable – from a liberal POV.

You look at it as a medical issue, and further, why wouldn't a women want it.

Your opposition looks at the issue as an infringement of rights, constitutional infringement.

Perhaps both are valid, depending upon your POV, but where does the dole stop? And contraceptives ARE, by and large currently available for those who want or need them. HOWEVER in the heat of rutting, many females and randy lads just let things happen, don't they?

Now, do we go to the next socially sensitive issue and find a way for obama (yes lower case) to continue to distribute freebies? Where does it stop, and I'll bet you his next, step and his next and his next will be underwritten by politics. Surely you see that!

And more important when are you going to quit butting heads with folks who are trying to engage you in a honest and meaningful way?

Sheesh!!!

NYC gives away free condoms ... so why are there unwanted babies there?

Even when it's not given away, birth control is cheap.

yes indeed it will make a difference. it will increase the number of unwanted pregnancies.

it will also increase STDs.

and it will increase the price of the 'free' contraception that all of us taxpayers have to pay for.
