.....in the meantime, it's nothing but oil company BS and self promotion..... Arkansas has been in the continental US that's been searched for hundreds of years, what made the discovery possible now???

Shit. The Smackover formation in S. Arkansas has been producing oil since the 30s. It isn't a "discovery" of oil. It is a "discovery" that by using horizontal drilling and fracking you can recover a lot of oil that before just sat there. I explained this to you a couple months ago and referred you to the Bakken Shale. And the Marcellus. The LSBD is probably about as big as each of those.

The important thing is there is tons of US oil that evolving technologies will make economically accessible.
