I do have a personal experience to relate. I had a friend who was travelling in Sweden, or maybe it was Norway. Well it was at least one of the Scandinavian countries. He suddenly took ill and was diagnosed by lthe doctor with a brain tumor. The Doctor told him he was going to die and all he could do was to go home and wait for death. He did not suggest any treatment.

When my friend came home to America, his Doctor suggested treatment and after a long and I assume expensive treatment he died. Does that play into the cost issue?

Would you accept that pronouncement from your doctor if it were you or would you search until you found some Doc who would offer you hope?

Just wondering.
