11.6 percent of Luxembourg's per capita GDP is more money than 15.3 percent of the US's. To be fair to your argument there are other countries which would be good examples of how the US pays more for health care. Generally Americans do pay more, more than almost any other country, just not more than Luxembourg. We do get something for that money (less wait times, more efforts at life extension when chances of success are low) but some might say not enough to justify the extra cost.
