The man is an idiot. He never did anything BY HIMSELF at IBM. He prospered by positioning himself to be able to get his name on disclosures or papers or work of others. Back then at IBM, there quite a few who played that game. When the shit finally hit the fan, those freeloaders were the first to get shit-canned. Exit Joe Shepard. He even admits it.
