I see cultural and religious conservatives as inherently non-libertarian. They sometimes act in anti-libertarian ways, sometimes in alibertarian ways (ways where libertarian vs anti-libertarian isn't an issue) and sometimes in libertarian ways. This case is the third. If they are such an enemy, that you'd rather see them lose, than a libertarian point win, that's one thing, but this is clearly a libertarian point, and its far from the first one that religious organizations have been involved with in this country.
