Indeed. My daughter was so disgusted with what she found after becoming a teacher that she refuses to put her own daughter in public schools. Hopefully, things will change after the child is born, and schools will become effective again.

When I was in high school, I remember my dad asking if I had read this and that in school and I told him no and I hadn't read anything he had mentioned. It was then my dad who swore very little and this is about the only time I remember him swearing, turned and asked me "what the hell are they teaching you down there?" I've never forgotten that and I know I didn't receive the same education he did and I also know that things have only gotten worse since then. * * *
