No, apparently you have a reading comprehension problem. Read Genesis 19. The men of the city were clearly wanting to gang rape Lot's angelic visitors. They threatened to do worse to Lot than to his visitors because he tried to resist them.

4But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter: 5And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them. 6And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, 7And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.

8Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.

9And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door. 10But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door. 11And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.

...

There is no hero of that story.

The wicked were punished. That's a good thing. If there were anyone not wicked in such a city, they would have left before this.

And if someone asks you, you can tell them rape is really consensual sex.

Perhaps you're projecting your own views on others.

No, I'm just reacting to your identification of attempted gang rape as consensual gay sex. I guess its not politically correct to acknowledge that gay people are capable of such evil.

On Gay rights : Republican zealots & the Religious right always have this knack for espousing causes that just don't make sense anymore or are just irrelevant , plus outing themselves just at the choicest moments . Who can ever forget Ted Haggard head of the largest Baptist organization preaching against homsexuality & the sancity of marriage , then exposed later ...

Now just in.... we have this top up & coming republican hopeful in AZ caught in the act and this after
condemning Gay Marriage & toting all the impotent anti immigration republican hornblowing , just amazing
and the Sherrif posting pictures of himself too ...

Republican Romney's Chief AZ Campaign Co-Chair Sheriff Babeu (Arpaio's Friend) Resigns
Amidst Gay Scandal with "Illeegal"

google.com

Arpaio's friend, Anti-Immmigration Reform zealot Sheriff Paul Babeu, has been Outed! His former lover Jose, a Mexican Immigrant, provided pictures as proof of his affair with Babeu. Jose and Babeu were lovers for year but they had a bad break up. Jose only went to the newspapers ( Phoenix News Times) because he said Babeu's lawyer had threatened to deport him AND his brother.

Today, in a press conference, Babeu admitted the affair, though he denied the threats. He also announced he was stepping down as Republican Presidential candidate, Mitt Romney's, Campaign co-chairman.

Babeau is known for his strong stance AGAINST Comprehensive Immigration Reform. He is an avid defender of Sheriff Arpaio and his racial profiling tactics. He supports sb1070 and has advocated for strict enforcement which results in mass deportation. You also might remember him as the guy in John McCain’s ‘danged fence’ commercial in 2010.

As co-chair of the Romney campaign in Arizona, he strongly supports Republican views against the Dream Act, against Gay Marriage and against Women's Contraceptive rights.

I always find it interesting that Republicans who support the rigid homophobic agenda of the conservative/tea party right are often outed as flamboyant gays. (eg: posting these types of pictures on gay websites). Babeu is also running for Congress as a Republican. I wonder how long he will stay in the running.
