Yes but most of the bricks wont' be decisive, many are insignificant, and some precedents go the other way, pulling down a brick instead. Even the final brick that pushes things over the top (and even assuming its a major brick not just the straw that broke the camel's back), might not be reasonably said to have been a precedent that change the moral view, by that time its the precedent that confirmed that the change exist, more than it made the change.
