Most of this fellows commentary are nothing more than his personal devotion to his fixed PLatonist ideas. In fact his generalizations are of no merit. Anyone can calaom that "most scientists" have "no idea" about "whatever, just fill in the blank". It means nothing.

His reference to Dawkins is a silly attempt to dress his empty blog words with a semblance of credibility. But what did Dawkins actually say? Only that life could have EVOLVED on other planets before life evolved on Earth. Hardly earth shattering news...

And yes, if we meet another life from evolved from some other star system, undoubtedly BOTH of our cultures would still be considering whether or not it had evolved elsewhere as well...

Very easy to imagine/picture what we call life (complexity/information) arising in all parts of the Universe uniformly but why call it alien ? One looks out upon the macro and sees that out of a fantastic spread of chaos an implicate order somehow finds itself emerging that arises from where ? Seems to be the big question ... but why regard anything as alien when we all have been endowed by creation with inalienable rights & unlimited potential ?

Ultimately & rightly so one looks beyond the life sciences to discover the origins of life and that step as been taken ...but to my source of amusement has not been ever once mentioned on this thread . Einstein did not have anywhere near that total picture of perhaps a truer reality behind this interconnected "totality" but perhaps one of his dear friends did ?

Its always a wonder & source of my amusement that this dear "friend" of Einstein is never mentioned here or most anywhere else in these kinds of discussions , though broadly world wide is still considered the finest mind in quantum physics in the 20th century even by Einstein himself and all physicists today . (hint: not Stephen Hawking)

Richard Dawkins is small potatoes .... (as you would probably love to say )
