In the same interview from which this blogger pulled this "quote", Dawkins states... "...that Designer could well be a higher intelligence from elsewhere in the universe. But that higher intelligence would itself have had to have come about by some explicable, or ultimately explicable process. It couldn't have just jumped into existence spontaneously. That's the point." THAT'S THE POINT. Evolution is not about how life began. It is about how life evolved. If we find other evolved life forms from other planets we will still be able to question and wonder backward from that. But ultimately, it is explicable. THAT'S THE POINT. Dawkins does not discount the possibility of aliens seeding the earth. No intelligent scientist does. But neither does that possibility in any way compromise the facts or the science of evolution. THAT'S THE POINT.
