"So just look at how all the other democratic countries manage it." Politics is the art of the possible and to compare the USA to other Western Democracies is an apple to an orange thing so to speak. We don't have a homogeneous political strata therefore, the different political needs of the different constituencies have to be addressed before we can bring into being a health care plan we all can live with. It's not like one can go out and order one up--as we are seeing. And the reason(s), I submit, there is so much opposition to it is there is a lot of lack of clarity surrounding it. So a fair and frank debate on it is needed without demonizing and mudslinging.
