If you go to Mount vernon and look at the records on display,you'll find that Martha Washington was married before she married George.

Her first husband was a wealthy French ship owner.

He met an early death and poor Martha inherited his wealth.

At the time of George and Martha's wedding,Ms Martha was worth 16 million dollars in the the mid to late 1700's.

It is historical record that presidents rise to the occasion,as they have the chips on the table.

Although not taught correctly in our schools it is a historical fact that presidents are wealthy people supported by wealthy people.

It is and has been that way from day one. I do not believe this is anything to consider as a negative.

I think Andrew Jackson was one of the few relatively regular people/president in terms of not having extreme wealth.
