I understand that. My confusion rests on your reason for believing that. You stated it was because "Nature" was incapable of evolving DNA. Leaving aside the fact that you do not offer anything to support that belief and that such a belief is probably not terribly interesting without any evidentiary base...it still remains that your "explanation" implies that all such entities required designing by intelligent entities and that THAT explanation is either irrelevant or incomplete.

You introduce a very interesting belief. And unlike many on this thread, I am very open to exploring beliefs and determining if there is any footing under said beliefs. In imagination it is just dandy to stand on cotton beliefs. But in real life ask yourself...would I throw my son or daughter out of this plane protected by that particular belief structure??

Yammering on bulletin boards is real cool. But if you want sincere discussions you need to show a sincere preparation. If you are selling me a magic house you need to show some magic. I work hard for my money and life is short...

For instance, "Atlantis" has no historical basis. I don't say it is not worth exploring but it is based on a few comments which then invited hundreds or thousands of books. That is really interesting! But the lack of any evidence convincing to experts in geology, paleontology, history, etc. certainly puts it beside Lord of the Rings for me. I love that trilogy!

I read Lord of the Rings, Thomas Covenant, and Atlas Shrugged about every 3 years--because they cover reason and imagination as good as they have ever been covered! BUT to paraphrase ESPN: There is always a chink in the armour. :-)

I think you are one of the really good guys on this thread. I think it is more than probable that we are not the first or the highest intelligence. But we are definitely SPECULATING!!

And you are trying to know who designed your DNA and who designed their DNA?? And you are planning what?

Would you like to meet at a Convention?

Sorry, too late. You hesitated...
