I am ambivalent on the issue, itself. You're right that I don't want the Church to "win." But I don't want to impose this on religions, either. As a result, I throw up my hands and take neither side. A pox on both. There's no good solution to this other than government backing out of the healthcare business, which isn't going to happen. I can think of a few possible compromises but mostly I've disengaged because I wouldn't really be satisfied unless the whole thing just went away.

That's not a "not exactly." I wouldn't even call it "close."
