I guess what you're saying is that it increases sex?

you guessed wrong..

here's the true price of 'free' (taxpayer paid) contraception..

first, price is removed in the decision process. people will naturally choose the most expensive option. if they're giving away cars, why not take a ferrari instead of a volkswagen? without the price adjudicator, prices for contraception will rise and rise. of course the taxpayer will pay for the rising prices. it will be a windfall for 'the pill' makers, but we'll all pay for their higher prices with our tax dollars.

next, condom use will fall because no one likes to use them. most women don't even like them. why use condoms when you can get the pills for 'free'. the ones that want to wear them for disease protection already do so, so STDs can only rise.

finally, getting something for 'free' means it has little value to those that get it. when it has little value, it gets used carelessly. women will forget to take it or not remember the last time they took it. if they had to pay for it, they would use it carefully. therefore unwanted pregnancies will increase.

to summarize, the results of 'free' contraception will likely be as follows.

1. the price of contraceptives with go through the roof. taxpayers will be forced to pay for it.
2. condom use will fall, while STDs and related expenses will rise.
3. unwanted pregnancies will increase along with their related expenses and moral consequences.
