I really don't want to get involved in a discussion of global warming, It never goes anywhere.

One thing that always puzzles me about the climate change alarmists is the implicit assumption that the current climate is the best possible one. During the past few thousand years there have been periods which were much warmer than now, and others which were much colder. During the warm periods mankind thrived and expanded. During the cold periods there was starvation and stagnation of civilization. Why should we be so afraid of a climate which in the past has been good for mankind?
