Robert is not a paid shill. He is a dedicated worker for a company that makes a 3D product called AVS Express or something like that. They got suckered into this thing called "Software through Pictures", which was the hype back in the early 90's. It is basically a 4D tool for #3 and #0's who like to flowchart. Not for the programmer.

We evaluated their product and it took me 30 minutes to reject it. Surprise, surprise they are "integrated" with MS.

First of all, I sincerely doubt that you evaluated the product.

AVS/Express is a development environment for making data vizualization applications. It does use "graphical programming", which is not the goal nor the strongpoint of the product. It does provide exceptional graphics display and data visualization if you want that.

Originally the product was for UNIX - there are versions for almost every UNIX flavor imaginable. Why did we make a PC version? Not everyone wants to spend $20,000 for a UNIX box when they could do the same thing on a $3000 PC.
