Well, if you get the shoulder surgery, try to get someone who will do it through the scope. I only have five tiny (3/4 inch) incisions in mine, and the physical therapy people tell me recovery is much quicker with the scope.

The hip thing is something in my future .. I can already feel it coming on, although starting Celebrex helped quite a bit. I have arthritis in both ankles, both knees, both hips, my neck and shoulders.. Every joint I have is stiff ..... except the one that should be! LOL
