And the Computer engineers should know about computer modeling

This is an often overlooked point. Most of the focus has been on the data and possible manipulation of the data by both sides to satisfy their needs. But all of the future projections are based on computer models which, quite frankly, aren't worth $hit.
The earth's atmosphere and climate are far too complex for any current modelling capability. There are too many variables. Too many unknown interactions and feedbacks. Far too many assumptions and simplifications. Perhaps someday we will be able to make climate models with useful predictive capabilities, but we aren't even close now.
I have worked on computer simulations of relatively simple, well understood, physical processes and the effort to get useful results is staggering. All of the programmers in the world could not produce a useful climate model. And the people working on the IPCC models are certainly not the world's best.

" That group also includes engineers and ALL my son's engineering professors said it was a scam."

Where does your son go to school?
