Someone (Carolyn I believe) had sent out an email on the dangers of Zicam. Apparently, in some people, it can permanently damage the olfactory nerve.

I tell you, letting a zinc tablet dissolve under your tongue will help immensely. I also take Juice Plus, which lessens the effects of colds, if one gets them at all.

Thanks! I'm taking EmergencE, Vit C tabs, Aleve (more for the other big aches and pains than the cold, but maybe it will help) and the druggist recommended Suphedrine PE (RiteAid's brand for Sudafed PE) Only problem with that last is that it makes one drowsy, so I won't take any of that past tonight, and till after I get home tomorrow....I've got most of the "stuff" loaded into the car....2 display boards, 3 books for the program (all pertaining to the Subject I'm talking about) and about 12 other things for the 2nd part of the program....They wanted to hear this other one "So, Now You've Done Your Genealogy...Now What Do You Do With It"......So that part is fun....Somewhat like a Show and Tell, and How to Do "Its... Only problem I'll have is carting all the stuff in and out...Books and etc are really heavy.... I'm going to tell them that I dressed to match my red nose....<ggg> BTW, did check on the Saturday thing...Unfortunately, I couldn't get any more tickets....they are oversold ...so now if it doesn't snow, all should be OK....Don't have anything I'm bringing for that one....just me and the pages I work with....Please remind me next week....I have some good info on Sackett's Harbor....
