Pub, > We didn't go into medicine for the money.......your view of us doctors is perverse.

Oh bulls--t. Unless you make no more than any of your assistants or nurses, you certainly did go through many years of med school, residency, and fellowship for the money.

lololol I knew a bunch of Georgetown Medicine students way back when. We would all sit around drinking and they talked about how much money they would make in each field.

My favorite was the guy who was gonna be a radiologist he bragged " hell I'll make 200k just looking at pictures and the nurses get the cancer from taking all those ex rays' everyone had a good laugh

The assertion that physicians aren't in it for the money is utter nonsense. Over the last 20 years I've dealt with hundreds of physicians and rarely have I encountered one who isn't focused on putting the maximum amount of money possible in the bank.

My view of doctors, if perverse, is a reflection of what I see in my daily work. I can assure you, for most docs, if the money slows down, they don't give a shit about anything else. They have to be because they are running a business and they have mouths to feed.

I think it is great if YOU didn't go into it for the money. But if you were making only $150K/year, I have a feeling the money would suddenly be very important to you.
