We would all sit around drinking and they talked about how much money they would make in each field. My favorite was the guy who was gonna be a radiologist he bragged " hell I'll make 200k just looking at pictures and the nurses get the cancer from taking all those ex rays' everyone had a good laugh

Over the last 20 years I've dealt with hundreds of physicians and rarely have I encountered one who isn't focused on putting the maximum amount of money possible in the bank. My view of doctors, if perverse, is a reflection of what I see in my daily work. I can assure you, for most docs, if the money slows down, they don't give a shit about anything else. They have to be because they are running a business and they have mouths to feed. I think it is great if YOU didn't go into it for the money. But if you were making only $150K/year, I have a feeling the money would suddenly be very important to you.
