satish and thread, I'm doing some interesting things with my position now...
Of course I'm keeping puts to protect myself..
I lost alittle on the oct 30 puts, but the nov 30 puts I replaced them with hit big...
what I'm doing now is selling the 25 calls naked and using my oct 30's calls to protect me..of course on a rally I sold the 25 calls and got to keep all the money for november.
I think I get a channeling for a while and this keeps lowering
my cost basis.
Then during the crash I picked up SMOD and KLIC...
woow..what winners...
I wasn't doing any recco'ing during the crash except that people shouldn't dell cpq and dell......didn't want to be wrong and
we fall through the floor and some little companies sink fast.

>>BTW, steve good to see you back on this board. Will appreciate to know what is ur current
thinking on ASND and NN. A friend in LU (b. manager related to ATM) had mentioned last year
that these two may be the takeover targets for anyone who want to lead the ISPs and carrier
market. he thinks the next big thing is voice over IP, where FR with ATM is the clear winner.
hummmm.. let me think: who has gone through the pain of repositioning themselves for this over
last year..ooops, not NN.<<

Ask your friend at LU this: Is LU dumping NN because of voice over IP
and/or is it because NN equipment contracts are too expensive. I think the
latter and this will be NN's downfall.
