Dr Chu is a nobel winning physicist. He says we are "boiling the planet".

Arguments from authority are very weak. Also Chu isn't even a legitimate authority here, really no one is on such a complex and poorly understood issue of climate change, but that isn't his field. (I'm assuming you mean this Chu - en.wikipedia.org )

Now is he stupid or lying?

"Not automatically correct", combined with "not an authority we should defer to", doesn't even imply "wrong". "Wrong" still wouldn't imply "stupid" or "lying".

Also none of your points are responsive. They don't defend the "hockey stick" (or accept that it can't be defended", they don't support the claim that a Permian type extinction is a possibility that we should be concerned about. They are about global warming in general (and not even AGW, nothing in your post covers the "A" part). You make some point, I make an argument against that point, then you respond with something else. Trying to have a real dialogue with you, when you do that, is like trying to nail smoke to a wall.

Obama is a Nobel peace prize winner, and he escalated one war, than started another completely unnecessary one. The Nobel comitee has no credibility.
