I'm convinced someone murdered her. I went back and watched the episode before last because that's when they find out about her. Also, if you remember, Sir Richard asked Anna to come into his bedroom. She was reluctant but went in. He asked her to spy on Lady Mary for money and she turned him down. She then told Mrs. Hughes and Mr. Carson, who in turn told the Earl.Carson also told Lady Mary and informed her that he wouldn't work for a man like Sir Richard (after they got married). So Mary confronted Sir Richard about it and it made him very angry. So Sir Richard is the one who did it. He had the motive (getting even with Anna) and the opportunity.
