The only relevant news out of Apple this week was the intro of the China Telecom contract. More China sales this year might be enough to boost earnings through the $50 mark. I think it's a strong possibility that China Telecom contract and iPad 3 will enable Apple to outearn their December quarter this June. That still leaves China Mobile, DoCoMo, T Mobile for new contract announcements during the second half of the year - if not sooner.

Edit - Apple said they are not considering a split.

I almost get the feeling that perhaps they like to spend their nights in the vault counting the cash!

Well, that explains a lot.

If they keep going, they could become their own country.

Shades of the Matrix's "Zero One" :-) en.wikipedia.org
Well sorta. :-)

Or buy a few European or Scandinavian countries...
