Many of the baby boomers who have reached "retirement" age have discovered that Obamanomics has raided their nest egg to the point that they cannot afford to retire. Some are being forced out and are engaging in meaningful post working careers as greeters at a famous retail giant. The biggest factor in the declining labor participation rate are people who have run out of extended unemployment and have given up looking for work. Why don't they offer incentives to businesses to hire workers rather than taking the money from employers' labor pools and giving businesses money to deadbeats?
