chiro,
On today's evening news: Yamaichi Securities decided to close its doors. Date of Founding: April 15, 1897. Date of Incorporation: September 30, 1943.

Yamaichi Securities is part of Yamaichi Securities Company Group, comprised of Yamaichi Research Institute, Yamaichi Information Sytems, and Yamaichi Securities. I don't know if they are just shutting down the brokerage house or the whole group.

BTW, I humbly disagree on your gold stance, I think the world still considers gold a safe haven, but haven't found any compelling reason to flee to it at this time. We need inflation to pick up its pace before the common man starts buying based on worry. I would point out that when gold hit new lows gold sales in HK increased 20%.

At 20% unemployment are you sure you consider Spain's ecomomy fine?

Oh well, don't mean to dog you on this thread, but you know me -- never afraid to offer a contrarian view and stir up the pot a bit ;-). I'll just mosey back to xoma.
