Well as i pointed out in the very first example and one base source in Nature for all morals & ethics would naturally spring , in it you find one of the most powerful religious motifs too again , in the Madonna too. Heard once ,very simply put : "Mother is God in the eyes of a Child" Well , for the first few formative years this is an absolute truth, there's nothing out there in the world that could make me believe otherwise . The scientific studies , forgetting Freud or Thomas Aquinas for a minute show that without early nurture you might as well write that individual off for life . And of course it gets even worse if the mother is an addict or substance dependent which we do not need religion to inform us nor do we need religion now to produce healthy mothers . Given that this is predominately a Christian nation led by some supernatural power , one would begin to question where it is we keep going wrong ? Certainly Atheists are in the greatest minority so we can't put the blame solely on them, seems we need to do a great deal more addressing this situation of up to 75% unwed single mothers in some cases with 45% the average . That reminded me to search for the source of that quote above , its was William Makepeace Thackeray writer for Vanity Faire and second only to Charles Dickens' influence on Victorian England . Interesting to see the so called clash of several Manifest Destinies now & world views which leaves all in somewhat a state of mass confusion . Once there was this very intense faith based movement in the US for this expansion by an interpreted ordained supernatural blessing . Today we find more than several major conflicts based in this very struggle of other major populations that do very well , faith based or not , in securing the idea of their own justified manifest destiny . Its all too evidently Nature based for me even allowing for higher rational thought & even deep intuition one can but only look far back to original competing tribes & early civilizations dating 1000's of yrs ago & get the same strongly based sense, this is all just Nature . For thru all these many centuries the "God" or "Gods" all sit moot and its left up to man's so called "free will" to muddle thru . Within each human being exist virtually all of the same inherent basic sets of human need & elementals that arise out of nature & these conflicts can be observed in the earliest tribes & just as easily seen back to animal groupings. Or one can make up stories of how some "MInd" preordained certain tribes of men for certain roles and some were evil , all in all this manifest destiny for all that planning & promising , even HIS own chosen tribe had to be kicked out of the promised land like man himself was thrown out of the garden of eden . Stories upon stories upon stories ...just what you'd expect to see in Human Nature's evolving complexities out of Mother Nature's stirrings and the stirrings in human imagination governed by its locality and inherited tradition .

God's Law or Nature's ? My opinion is based on observable data .... No known demonstration of supernatural intervention ever presented , unprescendented historical evidence for the support of this and last of all pictures of "believers" in action mirror exactly the behaviors attributed to so called atheists or what we would expect to find and do find demonstrated time again & again down thru man's history . huffingtonpost.com
