. why didn't... these other, higher vertebrates and larger brained mammals , do the same in developing gnostic skills ? Personally i don't get all that excited with all our so called gnostic abilities , we have done somethings remarkable in continued manipulation of materials never before imagined but its still just building on previous steps . When i look at people furiously text messaging every chance they get hard to imagine all that much precious amounts of data is really being conveyed most of the time , still more like chattering monkeys really . That goes for our churches ,synagogues & mosques etc . But its the same question as the one of why aren't monkeys evolving into men now and thats because they are monkeys and stay on that branch of the evolutionary tree. We do see behavior of dolphins which tell a story about species intelligence, some amazing taught hunting skill behaviors . How do you think we first learned but by group hunts . Later comes animal husbandry & planting veggies , super charged the learning processes over just gathering & scavenging but that was all part of the natural process and learning too. ( lots of starvation & uncountable suffering for gaining just tiny bytes of new knowledge , millions of years of it , apparently God is not very nice fellow )
