Ron: I think you need to change brokers.

Ron, irby is right; you need to change brokers. Last year, I opened an account with eSchwab and quickly found out that they don't accept stops on the Nasdaq. My understanding is that today they do, but not on all stocks. At any rate, I switched to Lombard and they accept stops on all stocks, including all Nasdaq stocks. Their service is good and so are their rates. I've only had two problems in a year and they cheerfully rectified the problem each time. The only limitation is that they don't accept stops on their touchtone service. But you can enter stops online or with a voice broker.

Lombard was purchased by Dean Whitter and their new name is Discover Brokerage. You can reach them at (800) 688-6896.
