medsunman,Re: definitions. I defer to the technical analysis reference manuals, rather than provide you with any information that may be difficult for you to accept. CNBC's John Murphy has written on these topics. The treatise I cut my teeth on is " Technical Analysis of Stocks" by Edwards & Magee. There are enough others out there that you should have no trouble finding a suitable one .Moreover, there are apparently quite a number of on-line sites that might provide a more up to date elucidation than I. Perhaps some of the threadsters might be able to provide appropriate URL's. I hope your seach rapidly provides satisfactory insights. Regards, Bernie.
