[DSP Market]

Hi bill,

Thought I'd share some info on the red hot DSP market.

1)DSP Group develops digital signal processing inte-grated circuits and software for digital speech products targeted at the consumer telephone and computer telephony markets. Symbol DSPG. Their share price almost quadrupled this year before recently settling down. Anyone know anything about em?

2) Texas Instruments has recently established a $100 million venture fund to be independently managed by Hanbrecht & Quist. Investors Business Daily said TI's fund "is probably the largest single investment by a single company in a single technology that it already dominates". They sound pretty confident, eh?

If Lucent is second in DSPs with 29% of the market, why haven't they made any noise about owning xDSL? It just doesn't make sense that they wouldn't enter that end of the market. What are they waiting for?
