I have asked this question of many people who should know the answer to this question, including legislators who voted for the bill, friends of mine who are doctors, on threads on SI. No one can answer the question. Over on the VFC thread they wanted to throw me off because no one had an answer. Of course the answer is obvious, the procedure has nothing to do with the health of the mother, and everything to do with killing the child. We are a sick society. lj
