Yes, the brand has negligible worth. People visit the site because of the content, not because they have any loyalty to Yahoo. A brand has worth when people profess loyalty to it. Do you see a lot of people running around in Yahoo t-shirts? The only ones I've seen are on the backs of people who work there. The balance sheet is strong for a company with a market cap of $200 or $300 Million, it's practically meaningless for a company which has a market cap of $2+ Billion.
