carol, the gap theory of creation brings out scriptures in Eze and Isiaah that show that there were Kings and kingdoms here when Lucifer was defeated on earth.. this was billions of yrs ago. then the chaos casued life to de-evolve..not evolve..think about it.. the archelogical finds would be exactly the same.. then God wiped out all creation. He covered the earth with water Gen 1:2 describes that. and He shut off all light from the earth(Jer 4). This was billions of yrs ago. Now what happens if you cover the earth with water and absolutely no light or heat hits it for millions of years????? God actually recreated the earth in 6 days not 7 days.
