I took a look at historic MGDDY numbers at michelin.com (7 year summary on page 19). I see your reasoning why Michelin is not a lifetime company. Low historic ROE, low ROCE, spotty FCF. However, I have added to my position for now.

Buffett interview: video.cnbc.com "bought 8 international stocks @ 175M euros" - anyone knows which ones? I thought that his thinking about newspapers was way too optimistic for newspapers and his suggestion for online monetization through paywalls is just unrealistic. Paywalls just mean one thing - the newspaper will lose customers to non-paywall sources. Who cares about WSJ and Barrons - if they want to paywall, screw them, I won't miss them a minute.
