There are two things that drive the value of a stock. the first is the fundamentals of the company. for cy these are quite good. the second is the sector or group to which the stock is a part of. in the case of cy this is the semiconductor group as expressed by the SOXX index. the production of semiconductors is the same as the production of corn or oil--- they are commodities. For the past year or longer cy goes up when the price of semiconductors goes up and down when they go down. at present the price of semiconductors is down if i knew when the price was going up i would know when to buy.
