P2, >> I think TA is a bunch of hooey<< You are not alone in this viewpoint. Others such as I tend to look at the charts to try to devine patterns which have recurred over time so as to be aware that if one or more of these patterns seems to be currently present, such as the current evaporation of volume after a significant decline, that we both seem to agree on, then we might be receiving a hint that a move similar to what has followed some of these in the past ,may currently be shaping up. When I look at a Bloomberg machine & hit LGND {EQUITY} [go] GP2, a chart of the weekly closing prices since the stock came public, I think I see one massive irregular head & shoulders, with a left shoulder at 14, a head tip at 5.5 & a currently building right shoulder at 18.5 If it gets there. Moreover , that very right shoulder seems to consist of another less irregular head & shoulder pattern which would be comlete also in the 18 & a fraction area.Fortunately beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You are under no obligation to see what I think I do. Nor are you under any obligation to define patterns the way I do. Nor is my view of these patterns necessarily any better or worse than yours or any other member of this threads. In fact tonyt's viewpoint may even occur & mine may not. Or vice-versa. Lastly, you may be perfectly correct that TA is hooey. I frequently feel that way when what I think is a developing pattern aborts{ if you'll pardon the expression}. I hope your TA of LGND proves prescient. REGArds Bernie.
