Lobbyists should be outlawed..

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Lobbying is petitioning the government. Even if banning lobbying wasn't unconstitutional (and it is), it would be an infringement against both freedom and democracy, and of dubious practicality.

None of which means that I'm a fan of most lobbyists or most lobbying but
