Hi Ditch. PBCT, holding tight to its 200 day MA, is now a bet on an improving economy that pays a nice div. while you wait. Becoming a National Charter Bank will allow PBCT to go after the commercial loan business particularly in the areas where they are expanding into in NY. Their strategy makes sense as there are many large companies located in their prior as well as in their new territory and borrowing activity will pick up if we are coming out of this lousy economic period.
