O'Reilly saying that we don't "need" the corn & wheat is a fair indicator of how far off he is on the subject.....Newt did a good job on the topic with him tonight and Krauthammer was expertly explaining it to Bill last week, when O'Reilly changed the subject on him.

When the lad can get his "mule on" .... nothing can penetrate that skull.

I couldn't agree with you more. O'Reilly doesn't understand basic economics. I don't think he has any idea of what being a commodity entails and how price is determined. It would be nice if had a creditable economist on the factor. He might even learn something. Sadly most Americans didn't study economics as part of their education. Our president appears to me to be another example of this. Here is a trivia question for you. Who was the last American president who majored in economics?

He sure doesn't understand how many products have to be refined from a single barrel of oil. All these products have to be sold for more than the price of a barrell of oil.
